In this role, you will be a member of our diverse group services team which houses human resources, accounting/finance, marketing, business development, IT, and administration. We are currently hiring for a Facilities Assistant to support our growing Facilities team out of our Murrieta, CA office. In this role you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our corporate offices and equipment. Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain all facility related data in Deltek Vantagepoint, including current Team Member rosters for each office.
  • Assist with office equipment accounts by upgrading equipment, negotiating aggressive rates, and coordinating the delivery and return of equipment, as needed.
  • Continually look for new solutions, better rates, and quality service for all office service accounts.
  • Establish and manage all executive suite offices including the coordination of moving in / out with the local team.
  • Work directly with landlords to set up or close out any necessary utility accounts.
  • Communicate with Cumming’s corporate insurance broker to ensure our list of Facilities and Business Personal Property is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with researching, coordinating and scheduling contractors for various work orders; to include requesting and reviewing quotes.
  • Request, review and circulate tenant COIs, vendor COIs and contractor COIs as needed.
  • Procure and keep stock of all company PPE and distribute to facilities, jobsites, and team members as needed.
  • Order and review all team member business cards, culture posters, office stationery and literature.
  • Perform an annual risk assessment for all company facilities.
  • Perform other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions along with any additional duties assigned by supervisor.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently.
  • Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment that result in making smart decisions that are in the best interest of the company.
  • Skilled in detailed planning and scheduling.
  • Flexibility to adapt to all situations and various work hours; ability to work weekends and evenings for
    special projects.
  • Willingness to travel to any of our Cumming Group offices.
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment.
  • Desire to develop and nurture Team Member relationships.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction.
  • Apply knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the relevant industry.

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and Excel.

Education & Experience:

  • Certification: Not applicable.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years' of experience in a related position supporting management and/or team of professionals is required.
  • Experience in the service or construction industry is preferred.

Physical Demands:


The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. On occasion, it may be necessary to lift and carry items of 50lbs or less. It may also be required to be on your feet for long periods of time, when working on special projects. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, operate a computer, and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus working with computer and business equipment.
