Overview

The Central Region HR Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to leadership and assigned business groups across all aspects of Human Resources, including employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits & compensation, performance management, learning and talent development and organizational design. The HRBP works with the Cumming Group Corporate HR Team and leadership to develop HR programs, practices and policies that support the company’s objectives, acting as an agent for change. This position is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. However, this position will work collaboratively with other Regional HRBP’s as a member of the Global HR Team and a number of specialist functions including HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition and Learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Drives programs and initiatives to cultivate the desired culture throughout the organization, acting as a trusted advisor to all levels of leadership.
  • Develops and analyzes HR metrics to proactively identify trends that require attention by developing strategies to address areas of concern.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations matters by conducting thorough and objective investigations in a timely manner.
  • Provides guidance and input on organizational restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Provides day-to-day coaching to leadership on HR best practices for performance management, including career development
  • Maintains in-depth understanding of employment law to reduce risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assists with compensation strategies, plans and analytics in accordance with Corporate Policy.
  • Assists in the execution of and strategic planning and development for Performance Management, Total Rewards, including Compensation and Learning & Talent Development strategies.
  • Supports the EEO/Affirmative Action Compliance program as a core value in the business culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • At least 9 years’ of experience in Human Resources, including employee relations, talent acquisition, training and development, compensation planning and benefits administration.
  • Must be biligual English/Spanish.
  • Travel up to 20% required. 
  • Professional Certification in HR through HRCI or SHRM highly preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with HR Information System (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Strong working knowledge of labor legislation.
  • Excellent client service skills and ability to partner with multiple, diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong change management and influencing skills with the ability to drive organization, process and technology change.
  • Development: Proactively participates in self-development to continually enhance current skills and build new skills required to excel at current role and prepare for career progression.
